I am very excited about the opportunity to go to DevMountain and I cannot wait to earn a certification from them! I have attended multiple colleges and, although I have consistently gotten As and Bs in classes I was genuinely interested in, a then-undiagnosed disorder made it impossible to obtain a degree at a traditional institution. I've been admitted to DevMountain and I fully believe that the directed approach to something I'm extremely passionate about (development!) will drive me to succeed and allow me to become a full time developer as a career!

I've been spending most of my free time since June 2015 learning as much as I can about iOS development. Although I have received no personal instruction, I was successful in gaining enough knowledge through online tutorials and guides to successfully launch a unique app on the iOS App Store (check it out here!). All I want to do is work on iOS development, and it would really be a dream come true to be able to make it a career. 89% of DevMountain's immersive students go on to find a career within 3 months of graduating, and I'm looking forward to helping increase that number!

This loan will serve to help me pay for my education at DevMountain in Salt Lake City. It will enable me to achieve something in my life that will amount to a career and the ability to financially support my family and buy a home. The class itself is $10,500 and lasts for 13 total weeks. Since it is a 9-5 class and requires an additional 30-40 hours a week of at-home work, the additional $5,000 I'm hoping to raise will go towards rent, utilities, food, and travel for the 3 months.

I haven't had much credit in my life which is good because due to the challenges with my disorder I haven't been able to get a career that would have enabled me to pay them back very well. Once I graduate from DevMountain and find a career, I plan to allocate any money above what I'm currently making towards paying back this loan, which statistically in this area should be enough to pay it back within a year. The reason I have it set to the high interest rate is because I am extremely confident that this boot camp will result in my ability to get a stable career in a field that I love and pay it back with no difficulty.
